From Samantha
In their words
Hello, I am Samantha Booher. I am a Licensed Psychotherapist at Center for Compassion. It is an honor and immensely humbling to come alongside others with compassion, bearing witness to their grief journeys. Creating a safe space for you to explore, process and cope with losses and hardships is my intention, and something I enter into with an open heart and mind.
I am drawn to person-centered, mindfulness and strengths-based approaches because I believe everyone is capable of healing from within, especially when given grounding space to do so. We will work together to cultivate self-compassion and awareness, and if needed, sit with unanswerable questions. All feelings are welcome. I am not afraid to follow you into the dark and sit for a bit. I am here to listen. You can do this. And I would be honored to be a part of your story.
I am led to this work in honor of my beloved brother, Zach.

Practice & credentials
Samantha Booher, MS, LPC is licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, a member of the American Counseling Association, and a certified provider of Compassionate Bereavement Care®. Samantha has been associated with the community-based support group The Compassionate Friends since 2012, and has served as the Mesa–Tempe chapter's Sibling Loss Leader since 2020. Seeking to make a more grief-specific impact in her professional life, she attained a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, during which she completed her graduate-level internship at Center for Compassion. Samantha also uses her passion for human rights and advocacy to inform and adapt her therapeutic approaches.
