Terri Waibel, MSW, LCSW, FT
Clinical Director Terri Waibel, LCSW, provides professional consultation, training, and speaking for individual colleagues as well as large organizations. Due to her training and specialization in grief and loss, she has provided contracting and consultation related to these areas.
Terri developed Grief Affirming Practice®, the therapeutic approach used throughout Center for Compassion, and founded the Southwest Institute for Grief and Trauma Studies to close the gap in grief education for helping professionals.
Terri's experience includes
- Facilitating trauma, grief and bereavement training for state, behavioral health, and non-profit organizations
- Guest speaking for Arizona State University
- Presenting at professional trauma and bereavement conferences
- Professional consultation with colleagues for clinical support with individual clients, groups, and families
- Contracting with a large academic research study for risk assessment of bereaved participants
